Phuntsok is a Tibetan born in South India. After working in the Indian army he moved to Nepal, following his wife who was assigned an English teacher position at the camp of Tashi Palkhiel.
He made a living selling Tibetan Handicraft in the Himalayas. After being recruited as a field officer by e-Malaya to coordinate the construction of the computer lab, he was recommended to the German NGO Nepal Initiative Schongau. He set up numerous projects for this NGO, e.g., a hostel for needy children from the remote areas and a food program for poor families in the Marsyandi Valley. Phuntsok´s operativeness, trustworthiness and hard work were the key to complete the computer lab in 6 months.
